Nicole graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018 with a degree in Elementary Education. While working toward her degree, she also served with the Department of Defense in a STEM outreach program called STARBASE, which helped nurture her passion for education. Growing up in a family with diverse educational needs, Nicole witnessed firsthand how gaps in the system could impact loved ones. This experience, combined with her own love of learning, inspired her to pursue a career in teaching.
Nicole began her teaching journey in 2018, taking on a 2nd grade classroom before officially graduating. She later spent three years teaching 4th grade, where she discovered her favorite age group. She loves the wit, compassion, and curiosity that upper elementary students bring to the classroom, and she thrives on helping them grow academically, socially, and as leaders.
Since joining the Keystone family in 2022, Nicole has found a place where her professional passions align with her personal values. She deeply enjoys creating real-world, hands-on learning experiences that connect students to nature, leadership opportunities, and each other.
Outside the classroom, Nicole loves spending time outdoors, whether she’s kayaking, reading under the trees, or simply relaxing in nature.
