Student Aide

Keystone Adventure School and Farm, located in northwest Edmond, is looking for a qualified, energetic, compassionate and eager person to work as a Student Aide for two students for our elementary school beginning in August of 2022.

A Student Aide for Keystone must:

  • Love working with children
  • Adapt to the ever changing social and academic experiences
  • Partner with an experienced classroom teacher to help the two identified students thrive and grow throughout the day
  • Follow and implement instructions
  • Respond positively to redirection from the classroom teacher
  • Learn when to put themselves into, and take themselves out of, social settings to help the children grow
  • Assist with children’s particular needs as necessary in order to facilitate success in behavior, social and emotional growth
  • Maintain confidentiality requirements for students and parents
  • Serve as a model in developing children’s language and behavior
  • Meet with the classroom teacher for feedback and support

About Keystone Adventure School and Farm

Keystone is a small, accredited private elementary school whose focus is on whole-child learning and individualized instruction. We believe in strengthening children socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Our school has a working 15-acre farm and animals with whom the kids interact daily. We also have a spring-fed creek, pond, and ample outdoor play and learning spaces. In addition to individualized and group instruction in math, literature, science, and social studies, students enjoy art, pasture, music, teamwork-based physical education, hands-on projects, our cognitive sensory classroom, Spanish, Take Flight Literacy, and more throughout the day and week.
