PRESCHOOL TEACHER

At Keystone, our preschool curriculum is rooted in play and guided by the interests of the children. We weave learning goals into every experience. The preschool classroom is built around hands-on activities, outdoor adventures, and opportunities for children to practice independence. Preschool children explore early literacy, math, science, art, and problem-solving skills through free choice play time, stories, centers, and imaginative play. Each day is filled with discovery, joy, curiosity, and oftentimes- messes!

In preschool at Keystone, a strong focus is placed on social-emotional learning. Children practice getting along with others and are learning how to play together. They are supported in expressing their thoughts and feelings, communicating with peers, and developing the confidence to solve problems and make choices. Through these experiences, preschoolers grow in independence and autonomy while also learning what it means to be part of a caring community.

Preschool students attend music, pasture, art, PE, and cog just like the rest of Keystone!
