Welcome to K/1, the students’ first experience in a multi-aged classroom!
In our Kindergarten–First Grade classroom, learning is rooted in curiosity, creativity, and play. I believe children learn best when they are active participants in their own discovery, so I use a play-based approach that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and collaboration. Through hands-on experiences, games, and meaningful projects, students build both academic skills and social-emotional growth in a joyful, engaging way.
One of my greatest passions as a teacher is fostering a lifelong love of reading. I strive to create an environment where stories come alive and every child feels excited and confident as they grow as readers and writers. By combining structured literacy practices with plenty of opportunities for choice and imagination, I help children develop the foundational skills they need while also nurturing their curiosity and confidence.
My goal is for each child to feel valued, capable, and inspired—both inside and outside the classroom.
