Macy is originally from Oklahoma City and is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Early Childhood Education. Her graduate thesis focused on attachment styles and the impact of family structure on child development—an area that continues to shape her approach in the classroom today.
This year marks Macy’s fifth year as an educator. She has taught both first grade and preschool, but preschool is truly where her heart is. She is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where young children can build confidence, develop independence, and experience the joy of learning through play and meaningful connection.
Outside of teaching, Macy enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music, exercising, and spending time with her husband, Jaren, and their two dogs, Scarlett and Titus.
