For Lauren, teaching young children is pure joy. Now in her fourth year teaching young children, she loves seeing her students’ curiosity, excitement, and wonder come alive every day. She holds a degree in Music Education from West Virginia University, a Master’s in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is certified in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She is pursuing further graduate work in Child Deve
lopment.
She believes every child deserves a classroom where they feel safe, inspired, and ready to explore. Learning is a joyful process and Lauren encourages students to pursue understanding their worlds with jubilance. With a deep love of literacy, she delights in helping children fall in love with books and discover the magic of reading. Passionate about child development, she keeps up with the latest research in early years education to bring thoughtful, evidence-based practices into her classroom, supporting each
child’s growth and confidence.
Originally from Maryland, Lauren has moved around the world and lived in many places, giving her a broad, global perspective on education and child development. She and her family settled in Edmond in 2017 with their two children. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, cooking, and being with friends around a campfire. Every day, in the classroom and at home, she celebrates curiosity, connection, and the simple joys that make learning—and life—so meaningful.
