Kelly Coffman

Kelly Coffman is Oklahoma born and bred! She lives in Edmond with her husband, Michael, and their seven-year-old twins, True and Crosby, who will also be Keystone kids this year! Her favorite hobby is family time and together, the four of them adore family movie nights, taking trips to local parks and libraries, as well as time spent hiking, exploring nature, and playing games – board, indoor, outdoor, all kinds.

Kelly received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She been teaching, including inclusive special education, kindergarten, and PreK since 2010, and she holds certification in both early childhood and special education. Kelly says that teaching PreK and being with vibrant, young learners is her heartbeat. She fully believes in the power of immersive and deeply exploratory hands-on learning through play as the ultimate learning environment – one where compassion and discovery reign. Kelly is at her happiest when she is in the messy middle of her kiddos’ unfolding childhood experiences and growth. She is looking forward to the learning and the working together – as Mr. Fred Rogers once said, “But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of early childhood.”
